
Professor Kate Tchanturia, PhD, is the consultant clinical psychologist in the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and Professor of Psychology of Eating Disorders at King’s College London. Her clinical and academic work has focused on translational research to promote excellence in clinical practice.
Kate has published over 280 peer reviewed papers, three books reporting experimental studies of cognitive processing and emotion in eating disorders, female autism as well as their cultural presentations. She is a Fellow of the British Psychological Society, Academy of Eating Disorders, the Higher Education Academy and Academy of Europe.
Professor Tchanturia has lectured internationally and trained clinicians and researchers in the UK, USA, Europe, South America, New Zealand, Japan, Australia and in her country of origin, Georgia in the neuropsychology of eating disorders and how to translate it into remedial approaches.
